A Safe and Natural Way to Identify the Root Cause of Your Health Conditions

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), pulse diagnosis is a developed art form that practitioners use to assess a patient’s health.

Considered to be the most accurate reading of the body’s internal organs, pulse diagnosis can be regarded as the “MRI” of ancient medicine.

Much different than the Western practice of measuring blood pressure and heart rate, a Chinese Pulse Diagnosis reading is able to identify the health of the internal organs as well as the root cause of specific symptoms and health conditions.

By reading subtle signs of distress within the body, a TCM practitioner is trained to interpret the flow of blood through the radial artery at the wrists.

Specific positions enable the assessment and interpretation of the functioning of the patient’s internal organs, which also reveals the state of their mental/emotional health.

Chinese pulse diagnosis can be a powerful medical tool in detecting a variety of health concerns, including:

  • Cardiovascular Conditions
  • Body Pain
  • Sinus and Respiratory Conditions
  • Liver Disease
  • Emotional Disorders / Stress
  • Reproductive/Gynaecological Conditions
  • Gastrointestinal Complications, and more.
  • What does an Acupuncturist Look for When Checking Your Pulse?

While it may appear as though your TCM practitioner is counting your heart beats, there are actually 28 different qualities of the pulse that are helping them asses the state of each patient’s health and emotional well-being.

    Pulse Qualities

    Rate

  • A false pulse indicates an excess of “heat” within the body. This pulse is usually present when there is a fever, inflammation, or an increase of stress on the nervous system.
  • A slow pulse indicates an excess of “cold” within the body, or that a particular organ isn’t working as efficiently as it should be. This pulse is often present when there are problems with blood circulation within the body.
  • Strength

  • A strong pulse indicates an excess stressor on the body. This pulse strength is often present with high blood pressure, headaches, stress and anger.
  • A weak pulse often indicates a deficiency within the body. This pulse is often present with low blood pressure, depression, fatigue, weakness and insomnia.
  • Width

  • A thin or thready pulse indicates a deficiency in blood or fluid within the body. This pulse is often experiences with fatigue, weakness, insomnia, nutrient deficiency or poor digestive health.
  • A rolling or slippery pulse indicates a stagnation or build-up within the body. This usually applies to food digestion or phlegm and often present with sinus/allergy congestion or a variety of digestive problems.
  • As these pulse qualities help to determine what exactly is happening within each patient’s body, TCM practitioners are able to treat the root problem of any experienced symptoms in an all-natural, prescription and side-effect free form of healthcare.
