Where does the name come from?

Aculosophy joins acupuncture and philosophy. Acupuncture is what we do most days. The philosophy is how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) looks at a problem: not only the sore shoulder or the poor sleep, but how it connects to the rest of your health, your routine and your stress.

So we ask more questions than you might expect, and write a plan that fits your life, not a fixed package.

How do we work?

We listen first. Your first visit starts with a conversation about what brought you in, your medical history, medications, sleep, digestion and stress. Dalibor then does a pulse assessment and a physical check where it helps.

We plan and cost before treatment. Dalibor explains what he thinks is going on from a TCM point of view, what he suggests, roughly how many sessions it may take, and what that will cost. You decide whether to go ahead.

We work alongside your doctor. Acupuncture and herbal medicine are used alongside medical care, not instead of it. If something you describe needs a medical check first, we will say so.

We review as we go. After the first few sessions we look at what has changed and adjust the plan, or tell you honestly if acupuncture does not seem to be helping.

What do we offer?

Most visits are acupuncture, sometimes with electro-acupuncture. Dalibor also prescribes Chinese herbal formulas and offers holistic nutrition. You can see everything we offer on the treatments page.

People come in for a wide range of reasons, most often neck, back and shoulder pain, headaches, sciatica, sleep, stress and digestive problems such as bloating. The conditions page explains what a course of treatment looks like for each.

Who will I see?

Every acupuncture treatment is done by Dalibor Covic, a Registered TCM Practitioner with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO), registration #5076. Our move from Etobicoke

Aculosophy opened in 2017 at 4889A Dundas St W in Etobicoke. Since May 2026 the clinic has been at Unit 229, 1550 Enterprise Road, Mississauga, about 20 minutes away. It is the same clinic, the same practitioner and the same approach.

From Etobicoke the drive is straightforward: Hwy 427 north, then Hwy 401 west to the Dixie Rd exit. Parking at the building is free. Full directions, hours and a map link are on the contact page.

Is acupuncture safe?

We use sterile, single-use needles that are disposed of after each treatment. Acupuncture done by a registered practitioner is generally low-risk. Mild soreness or a small bruise at a needle site can happen. Please tell us if you are pregnant, take blood thinners, have a pacemaker or a bleeding disorder, or take any regular medication.
